Are you trying to build a meaningful life but feel held back by a painful past? Do you constantly feel on edge, unable to feel safe in your body, or struggle with relationships? Perhaps you experience emotional flashbacks and persistent hypervigilance, leaving you feeling anxious, alone, and unmotivated. You feel like no one understands your struggles, and you do not know how to begin healing.
Hi, my name is Toni; I understand! I am a formerly incarcerated person who overcame many challenges and learned how to help others do the same. My personal and professional experiences give me a unique perspective and a deep sense of empathy. I take pride in providing a safe, non-judgmental and authentic space where people can explore, renegotiate, and make meaning out of past experiences. I will meet you where you are in your journey and support you in reaching your goals. I am committed to providing trauma-informed, anti-racism, and gender-affirming care. You are not alone!
More about my professional experiences: I have two decades of experience as a criminal justice advocate, trauma-informed yoga teacher, and holistic health coach. I graduated from the University of Michigan School of Social Work with a commitment to serving people impacted by mass incarceration. My professional clinical experiences began in Detroit, where I worked with youth, families, and individuals. I have received professional certifications in DBT, CBT, and Couples Therapy and am a certified EMDRIA-approved EMDR-trained therapist. I have helped hundreds of people find hope and reclaim their lives, and I can help you do the same!
You are not alone; help is on the horizon!
