“Challenges are what makes life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.”
— Joshua J. Marine
I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Professional Psychology and was trained with the Humanistic belief that many factors of one’s life play a role in their development, mental health and cognitive processes. By utilizing humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, psychoanalytic and existential interventions, together we can develop a treatment plan that works best for you.
My background is with the adult and juvenile offender population and I specialize in trauma, conduct disorders, depression, anxiety, and sex therapy with both adults and adolescents.
I believe the relationship built between the therapist and the client is the greatest predictor of change. Therefore, sessions are facilitated with a non-judgmental attitude and consistent acceptance and support for my clients in hopes of building a safe and trusting space where we can explore, experience and grow together.
Change is a difficult process; taking time, effort and strength but the positive outcomes that can result when we put in this effort are guaranteed to make the challenge worth it.
