My goal as a therapist is to empower clients to build trust within themselves and with others so they can function more optimally in the world around them, feel safe in their relationships, and regulate their emotions in healthy ways.
My clinical focuses include: trauma, sex and relationships, sexual orientation and gender identity, self-harm, suicidal ideation, family conflict, and grief/loss. I also work with people who have been convicted of sexual offenses both individually and in group therapy.
My approach to therapy is integrative and person-centered. I often use mindfulness as a tool to help clients better identify their emotions and needs, improve communication skills, and control impulses. I provide a trusting space of affirmation, non-judgment, and trauma-responsive care, which supports a collaborative environment to safely process emotions and experiences.
