Wise Mind / Join Our Team

As a new therapist, Wise Mind is the ideal place for me to build my experience and uphold my values. The leadership prioritizes support and growth, and makes it clear that we are people first and employees second. This sets a great example for the rest of the team and results in an environment that encourages therapists to be human. The team is a TEAM in the truest sense - even when we work independently, we depend on each other for support and consultation that makes all of our practices stronger. This is a safe place to learn and to formulate your therapeutic personality. Most importantly, Wise Mind walks the walk when it comes to anti-oppression and anti-racism work. We take time to process together how our work affects the community we work in and the world we live in, and vice versa. I'm proud of the therapist I'm becoming at Wise Mind.

Jessie Katz, JD, LLMSW

Clinical Therapist; Location Manager

Wise Mind has been an integral part of my career as a psychotherapist. Being here has allowed me to develop a niche in my practice, as well as work with the client needs that I feel most passionate about. Not to mention, being here allows for open communication, a sense of community, and the ability to have consistent support in the ever changing world of therapy.

Sierra Johnson, MA, MLP

Clinical Therapist & Social Media Coordinator

We are currently interviewing for numerous clinical positions and healing practitioners.

Our student therapist 2024-2025 cohort is complete. We are no longer accepting applications for placement.

Please consider us for employment upon graduation!

Wise Mind operates by VALUES that guide who we are as a team and how we present to our communities. We prioritize working with individuals who bring these values to life, including therapists in training and early career therapists from all disciplines, as well as folx with different abilities and backgrounds.

BIPOC, trans, queer, neurodivergent, humans with disabilities, and Indigenous healers and therapists are especially encouraged to apply.

Wise Mind is a placement site for Eastern Michigan University and The Michigan School of Psychology, with pending placement site applications at Wayne State, Michigan State, and the University of Michigan.
