How do I schedule an appointment?

Complete an Appointment Request form. This form gathers all the information we need to verify any insurance benefits and best match you to a therapist who works with the concerns you identify wanting assistance with.

Our referral coordinator will contact you from 734-682-5544 or contact@wisemindpsychology.org based on your selected contact preference within 24 business hours to schedule and prepare you for your appointment. You will have 24 hours to respond and confirm before the appointment is offered to the next referral.

What can I expect at my appointments?

Your first two appointments include a personal and comprehensive assessment of your history and current concerns in order to best determine what we are treating, your goals, and to be sure we are the best fit to do this work together. After these are established, a collaborative treatment plan is developed to determine the best way to meet the desired goals.

From that point forward, you and your therapist will continue working collaboratively on your chosen goals through a variety of methods that may include talk therapy, psychoanalysis, and cognitive and behavioral exercises.

How much do services cost?

Therapy is more than the time you are sitting with a therapist. It is all the training and years of experience leading up to that moment, their ongoing consideration for ways in which they can best help you, ethical and legal requirements we have to maintain for our credentials to continue providing services, and more. You are booking an interrupted block of time to improve your life with someone who is best suited to help you navigate the struggles you came in for. It’s a pretty important block of time that does come with a cost, but investing in your healing is a right you have to be the best version of yourself.

For therapy to be the most effective, a time and financial commitment is required. Delaying getting the help you or someone you know needs can also have costly outcomes.

Additionally, therapists in training or provisionally licensed therapists can offer lower rates than more experienced therapists, which may suite your financial needs to allow access to care. We make sure to have 1 or more therapists in training at all times to assist in offering reduce fee services, along with maintaining reduced fee spots on each therapist caseload.

Current Fees:

Intakes: $250/hr

Therapy Appointments : $225/hr

*For the fees of specific types of therapeutic services or assessments, please contact us.

What methods of payment are accepted?

Direct Pay: Cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, HSA, FSA, Money Order, Bank Check

Insurance: Apostrophe, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Care Network , Meridian Health, Aetna Commercial, Meritain, Blue Cross Complete (Medicaid), Healthy MI Plan (Straight Medicaid). WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY FORMS OF MEDICARE.
What if you don't accept my insurance?

Depending on reimbursement rates, geographic location, needs in the area, and other factors, we have chosen to only accept the insurances listed above. If we do not accept your insurance, we are considered Out of Network (OON) with your insurance plan. We DO NOT bill for out of network services; however, we can provide you with a specialized medical receipt called a superbill that you can submit to your insurance. In these circumstances, you pay our full fee and attempt to have your health insurance plan reimburse you. Wise Mind is not involved in the process or how your insurance company chooses to reimburse.

Reimbursify is an app that makes it easy to submit these receipts to your insurance. You can find more information at https://reimbursify.com/

What if I need to cancel, reschedule, or do not attend a scheduled appointment?

Wise Mind has a 24-hour cancellation policy.

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment with your therapist, please contact your therapist directly at their provided contact information or by replying to the First Appointment email that they are copied on at least 24 hours or more before the scheduled appointment to avoid being charged for the session.

When we schedule your appointment, we are blocking out our time to be available to do our work together. To respect your therapist’s time and preparation for session, any late cancellation or missed appointment will result in your card on file being charged for the full cost of the session regardless of the reason for cancellation. This helps to maintain boundaries, respect, and deincentivize missed appointments. A pattern of missed or late canceled appointments may result in termination from treatment.
