Therapy is more than the time you are sitting with a therapist. It is all the training and years of experience leading up to that moment, their ongoing consideration for ways in which they can best help you, ethical and legal requirements we have to maintain our credentials to continue to service you, and more. You are booking an interrupted hour of time for yourself with someone who is best suited to help you navigate the struggles you came in for. It’s a pretty important block of time that comes with a cost, but investing in your healing is a right you have to be the best version of yourself.
For therapy to be the most effective a time and financial commitment is required. Delaying getting the help you or someone you know needs can also have costly outcomes.
Additionally, therapists in training or provisionally licensed therapists can offer lower rates than more experienced therapists, which may suite your financial needs to allow access to care. We make sure to have 1 or more therapists in training at all times to assist in offering reduce fee services.
Depending on reimbursement rates, geographic location, needs in the area, and other factors, we have chosen to only accept the insurances listed above. If we do not accept your insurance, we are considered Out of Network (OON) with your insurance plan. We DO NOT bill for out of network services; however, you can submit specialized medical receipts that we can provide you to submit on your own. In these circumstances, you pay our full fee and attempt to have your health insurance plan reimburse you. Wise Mind does not get involved in this process.
Reimbursify is an app that makes it easy to submit these receipts to your insurance. You can find more information at https://reimbursify.com/
The first appointment is called an intake. It is a chance for you to share your concerns and your therapist to speak with you about how they can help you manage those concerns. The therapist will ask you a number of questions about your concerns and your general life history. They are likely to take notes during this appointment as well. It is also a time to determine goodness of fit to see if you and your therapist will be the best match to address these concerns together. If for some reason this is not the case, they will work with you to find a provider that can provide you the best care. If you and your therapist plan to move forward in your work together, treatment goals will be collaboratively discussed with you and a your appointment will be scheduled.
Wise Mind has a 24-hour cancelation policy.
